
The first day of the Forum has come to an end. One of the key events of the day was a breakout session on "Innovative medicine and pharmacy in the Union State: priority directions and development prospects", which took place at the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University.
The sectional meeting, organized under the leadership of Irina Abelskaya, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic on Education, Science, Culture and Social Development and Chief Physician of the Republican Clinical Medical Center, gathered about 80 participants. Among them were members of the Council of the Republic, deputies of the House of Representatives, heads of executive authorities of the Russian Federation, the leadership of the health ministries of the two countries, as well as leading republican scientific and practical centers and national Russian research centers.
The meeting was of a scientific and practical nature, where high technologies in the health care system and their innovative orientation were discussed. Two dozen reports were heard, aimed at analyzing previous agreements and developing new solutions for implementation in the light of modern challenges. The key topics included public health, primary health care, preventive and preventive medicine, as well as cell technologies and molecular genetic research, transplantology, pediatric oncohematology and traumatology.
Irina Abelskaya noted the importance of discussing the issues of joint production and clinical trials in nuclear medicine, including the production of radiopharmaceuticals and proton therapy. She emphasized that cooperation in these areas would not only help the citizens of the two countries, but also ensure rational use of financial resources.
The session also focused on the digitalization of the healthcare system and the introduction of artificial intelligence.
The forum discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of healthcare for 2024-2026, including innovative technologies in the treatment of oncological diseases, organ and tissue transplantation, development of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine, application of cell technologies and biotechnological products. Special attention was paid to the promotion of digital solutions in healthcare and interregional cooperation in science and education.
The State Institution "Republican Clinical Medical Center" presented at the Forum a stand with a clinical and scientific platform, which aroused interest among the Forum participants.
The first day of the forum ended with the signing of agreements on cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan in the medical industry.
It is expected that the adopted agreements will become a significant support for medical workers and will help to provide high-quality and high-tech medical care to the residents of Belarus and Russia.
XI Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus demonstrated a high level of interaction and joint achievements in the field of medicine and pharmacy, laying the foundation for further development of innovative cooperation between the two countries.
