First aid is a very important skill that can save no life. Saving a life is not only the task of people who have specialized medical training. But, also, everyone who happened to be at the right time near a person who became ill.
Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko made a welcoming speech: “Dear children! You are our future, and today we, adults, are proud that more than 20 thousand tenth-graders of our country have made such a responsible decision for themselves - to learn how to save people's lives in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. You have received knowledge that may be needed at any period of your life, but the main thing is that you have learned to solve extraordinary tasks, work in a team and practiced first aid, which always implies the main thing in a person - compassion, desire to help, to make a responsible decision. During the event, tenth-graders from all regions of the country had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the equipment of simulation centers and learn more about the professional activities of medical workers. A medical worker is a person who is ready to devote himself to serving people. He takes responsibility for the most precious thing - human life. Now you have touched one of the skills of this profession. I have no doubt that some of the participants of the “Start the Heart” action have thought about getting a medical education".

Irina Abelskaya, Chief Doctor of the Republican Clinical Medical Center of the Presidential Administration of Belarus: “The participants of the national educational campaign ‘Start the Heart’ felt what it means to work in a team. It was a two-month marathon. Children learned the basics of first aid with the great help of adults - teachers, instructors, employees of ministries and departments, medical universities and medical colleges, just indifferent people. I am sure that you have learned a lot of new things during this two-month training period. You have a long and happy life ahead of you. Learn, dream, dare, realize what is close to you, and most importantly - take care of life, take care of yourselves, your relatives and friends, take care of your Motherland. And let our pulse always correspond to the rhythm of the heart of our beloved Motherland, our Belarus!"

Belarusbank certificate for the purchase of cardiopulmonary resuscitation simulators for 16 medical colleges was presented to First Deputy Health Minister Yuri Gorbich by Deputy Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank Sergei Melnik.

We thank the initiator of the action, as well as all those who assisted in organizing the colorful finale of the “Start a Heart” project!
