On 4-5 April, the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "Antimicrobial Therapy for All" was successfully held.
The conference was organised by the State Institution "Republican Clinical Medical Centre" of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.
The large-scale event gathered 639 in-person participants and 1,095 online participants.
The plenary session was opened with a welcoming speech by Chief Physician Irina Abelskaya, who noted in her speech that the event has already become traditional and is being held for the third time by the RCMC, attracting more and more active interest from multidisciplinary medical specialists.
Problematic issues of hospital medicine in health care institutions of the Republic of Belarus were highlighted in detail by Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Gorbich. He emphasised the high importance and relevance of the event and the topics discussed.
Leading experts on antimicrobial therapy and infection and epidemiological control from the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan and other CIS countries also spoke at the plenary session.
Igor Aleksandrovich Karpov, Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases of EE "BSMU", Chief Outside Infectious Diseases Specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, People's Doctor of the Republic of Belarus highlighted the topic of acute out-of-hospital sepsis, spoke about the causes and methods of antibiotic therapy.
Kozlov Roman Sergeyevich,Rector of FGBOU Smolensk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Chief External Specialist in Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobial Resistance of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Smolensk) spoke on "Microorganisms and infections, microbiologists and clinicians: multifaceted reality".
Denis Nikolayevich Protsenko, Director of the State Budgetary Institution "Moscow Multidisciplinary Clinical Centre "Kommunarka" of the Department of Healthcare of Moscow", chief supernumerary specialist in anaesthesiology-animatology of the Department of Healthcare of Moscow, Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor (Moscow) spoke about early anxiety scales in patients of a multidisciplinary hospital.
Vladimir Vitalievich Kulabukhov, Leading Researcher of the State Budgetary Institution "Research Institute of Emergency Care named after N.V. Gubkin". NV. Sklifosovsky DZM", President of the Russian Sepsis Forum, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor (Moscow) spoke about the strategy "Effective hospital. Results of the multicentre study RIORITA-2".
04.04.2024 within the framework of the scientific-practical conference a seminar for nurses "Nursing: vector of quality" was held. Unique experience was shared by Natalia Kuligina, chief nurse of the Federal State Budget Institution "Federal Centre for Cardiovascular Surgery" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, who highlighted the issues of information technology at the guardian of health and Satsuk Anastasia Vladimirovna, head of the Department of advanced training of nursing staff of the Federal State Budget Institution "National Medical Research Centre for Children's Hematology, Oncology and Immunology named after D. Rogachev" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, PhD, who covered in detail the issues of stereotypes and stereotypes. D. Rogachev National Medical Research Centre for Children's Haematology, Oncology and Immunology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, doctor of medicine, who spoke in detail about sterilisation and quality control.
The RCMC staff held a master class on "Bladder catheterisation, technique of placement, replacement and care, urine sampling for examination".
The event was attended by more than 50 chief nurses from all regions and Minsk city.
05.04.2024 the work in 7 sections was actively carried out:
- Infections in gynaecology
- Heart and vascular infections
- Infections in surgery, intensive care
- Infections in traumatology and orthopaedics
- Clinical transfusiology
- Infections in urology
- Infection safety in ophthalmology
All participants noted the high level of the presentations and the importance of the professional knowledge gained as a result of the exchange of experience in the issues of competent antibiotic therapy in the context of growing antibiotic resistance.
In the materials received by all the participants present in person, unique recommendations on the topics discussed at the sections were presented jointly developed by the staff of RCMC, BSMU, RSPC of Traumatology and Orthopaedics. This will undoubtedly be useful for specialists in their daily work.
The presentation of E.F. Kachanko's teaching manual (edited by I.S. Abelskaya) "Elements of Infection Control in a Multidisciplinary Hospital" took place. The project was supported by the grant of the President of RB in education in 2023.
The conference undoubtedly increased the knowledge of medical workers on the problem of infections caused by resistant pathogens, allowed to unite the efforts of various specialists to curb antibiotic resistance in order to improve the quality of medical care for patients with infections.
