One of the floors of the Republican Clinical Medical Center of the Presidential Affairs Directorate has turned into an art gallery. A unique exhibition called “The Space of Idea” was opened here.

Opening the exhibition, the chief physician of the medical center Irina Abelskaya noted its unusual nature. “It is not often that paintings, works of art are exhibited in medical institutions. But we, fortunately, have a wonderful experience of cooperation with the Belarusian State Academy of Arts,” she said. - This is not our first project. We have already had very interesting for everyone, in my opinion, emotional pen tests”.
Irina Abelskaya explained that practically on all floors of the medical institution one can see works made by young and more experienced authors in different styles and techniques. “I think this is very cool: in the treatment of a patient, the emotional state is of great importance. It is one of the methods, one of the tools of stress relief, of rehabilitation. And it's absolutely proven,” she said.

The authors of the paintings demonstrated how they see the surrounding world through its prism, and, in particular, depicted Belarusian landscapes in the Chinese technique.
“These are amazing works. The fact that we saw here traditional Chinese art and at the same time the vision of streets, neighborhoods, parks and gardens of our homeland is another proof of the deep, emotional and friendly connection between our two peoples and countries,” said Irina Abelskaya.
The exhibition features about 50 paintings. These are traditional Chinese paintings, a series of graphic works, portraits of children and adults. Xia Guangyuan, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Belarus, is convinced that the master has put his soul into each of them. He considers it important that the exposition was opened in the medical center, which fully meets the values of the two countries - humanism and mutual understanding. According to him, art helps patients to improve their health, reduce stress, and express emotions.
The paintings are impressive and inspiring, got a really talented art collaboration.
This was noticed by both medical professionals and patients at the clinic.
BSAI Rector Mikhail Borozna emphasized that the experience of another culture is interesting for Belarusians. There was a positive interaction between the open-minded Belarusians and Chinese students, which was expressed not only in this exhibition.
First Deputy Minister of Health Yuri Gorbich is sure that art saves lives, and medicine is only partly a science, and to a large extent - an art. The two arts that met here allow us to make our lives longer. I very much hope that the tradition of opening similar exhibitions will continue in other medical institutions.

This exhibition is proof of the deep connection, mutual understanding and friendship between our countries.
